Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment is required?
Players should provide their own gloves, helmet and a bat. The league now has lots of extra helmets and will provide one to any player who is in need of one. Players should have athletic footwear. Sneakers are fine for t-ball, but above that level players are encouraged to have a pair of baseball cleats.
What does the league provide for uniforms?
Baseball
T-Ball - Uniform shirt and a hat
Other Divisions - Uniform shirt, socks, belt and a hat
Softball
All Divisions - Uniform shirt, socks, belt and a hat
When will practices and games occur?
For those who are in t-ball and coach pitch practices usually begin in April and games in early May. Once the season has begun these teams typically play/practice once during the week (at 6:15) and once on Saturday (usually in the morning). Player pitch divisions will usually have two games a week and another one or two practices, which the coach schedules.
When will the game schedules be available?
The game schedule is usually available sometime in the middle of April.
What are our practice and game cancellation procedures?
Decisions on practice and game cancellations due to poor weather are made by league president, Jason Tirrell (J.T.), after consulting with the Park & Rec Dept. about field conditions. Once a decision to cancel is made we will communicate with players by email or text. On the website, the field the game is scheduled for will be listed as closed. For games being played out of town the decision is made by the home team, but we will communicate with you in the same manner as a home game.
